I have always liked trees and have lots of them in my files that I never got around to post. I assume that many of you have it too. So, for this meme is not about running around taking shots today. You can as well dig in your files for those gems never posted. Trees and bushes comes in many shapes and forms and they look different as the year go by. Many of them has flowers and are showing autumn colors. They change always.

It is really a charcoal kiln in progress. They are building it for a the memories and celebration of the old days workers. They will fire it up in the end of May.

There is trees all around and the kiln is also created from wood. And, there is a little fir growing at the end of the fence. My guess is that, if they allow it to grow, it will one day turn the fence over.

Linking up with GOOD FENCES

  2. This is very cool ... the barely budding trees with the evergreen backdrop gives it an ethereal look. I like that they are building a kiln, though I hope they aren't planning to turn these trees into charcoal :( And the poor little fir picked a bad spot ... I am guessing he is doomed. Lovely pictures, Monica ...

  6. Neat fence! I like the idea of an old-time charcoal kiln. The mountains around me were once sources of charcoal and there are some exhibits. The hills were denuded of trees 150 years ago because so many logs were needed to make charcoal.
