This is what it looks like where I live these days. They are digging up everywhere to change our watersystem.  Not fun really.

Stendörren is a Nature Reserve and the only place where I have seen this kind of fence. It´s created with a lot of thinner branches stacked inside two rows of poles. No wires needed. Looks weird but works.

This is one very red fence. And high, taller then I am so I can´t peek over it. But from what I can see there are farming machinery behind it. This is  a fence you can´t ignore, you see it weather you want to or not.

Well, this was a surprise. We thought spring was here yesterday, and now! What!
With this fence I actually love the gate. Unusual and pretty. Inside the garden they ahve placed an old sofa. In springtime they plant flowers in it. Very beautiful.

We got a little bit ow wet snow for a change. Made a beautiful coat on this Corkscrew hazel outside our Library. I think the fence made a great backdrop this day.

Where the elderly lives

This is a home for elderly that is rather close to where I live. They can "workout" here but I never seen anyone doing it. I never seen anyone outdoor at all.  There is another entrance but I think that one is also locked. Not sure I want to end up there.

Bridge with no snow

There are ice on the water but no snow on land. Checking the weather report it is strange. My area seem to be the only one with no snow. Around us there are. Some places a lot. I don´t want a lot, but no snow makes a grey and dull place.
The Mallards are all gathered by the bridge where it is open water.

This was on a trip to Iceland in 2014. I was visiting the  Skógafoss waterfall when I saw these horses. They looked really heavy with the thick coat.

First snow

It was snowing this day. A bit too early but we were lucky anyway. In other parts of Sweden they got a lot of snow. At some place they had almost one meter. That´s a lot.

Visited the same place as teh post before this. But now when it was dark. Still time was only 18,00.
First is the bridge over to the Main building. The lamp is in the garden and the green yellow blur beside the lamp I think is a butterfly. Probably a Brimstone.

Broken fence

Broken fence at Kvismaren
© NF Photo 160916

This is a Nature Reserve I visit a couple of times every year. It is located about 60 km from where I live. This time I wanted to see what happened to the fence after I was gone. When I last visited this place I found the fence broken with the cows entering the path. Curious cows always investigate what´s going on so they all came to this corner. Not good with a road close to it.

In the background you can see one of the birding platforms and the water in front of it is just hinted in the last image.

Well, this was an interesting event as I had to force the cows back into the enclosure and I tried to close it as best I could. Then I went quickly to my car and tried to find some people who could fix this. I found a woman who knew the owners of the cows and promised to tell them to go down there. Then I left for home. AND on the way I realized I did not take any images whatsoever. I was too busy with fixing the fence and the cows I forgot to take any shots.

I guess that is a healthy sign? My first priority is to help.

This day I found the fence was not fixed but the cows was moved to the other side of the path, Closer to the water.

This is a place named Prästtorp wich means Preast croft. So, in the old days the preast probably lived here. This is now at the border of our colf course.
