Cattle and sheep

I woke up and headed out earlier then I usually do. As I was passing this stall/barn I noticed the cattle lined up. So I stopped to take some shots. I was flooded with childhood memories from my grandparents farm. Most mornings they did not have to go out to get the cows. The cows was already at the stall waiting to be milked. Like the ones in the images. Waiting for the farmer to release them from the weight of the milk.

In a pasture behind the barn some cool colored sheep were grazing.

Too much digging!!!!!

Too much digging!!!!!

I´m actually pissed!!
My town celebrates it´s 100 years anniversary this year. And what do they do??  Destroying the entire city! You would think that they wanted to show off a beautiful, 100 years old city, but no. The city has been all messed up the entire year.

This morning I was going to visit the skateboard ramp on the opposite side of the city. I had to go through the work site shown in the images. This place has been a mess for about 6 months now. And today they changed the "passage" and left us with very poor instructions for how to drive. What lane to follow.

In every corner there are orange arrows telling us to drive this way or that.

Later on when I was done at the skateboard track I took a street I thought was untouched. But no, new sign. No passage this way, turn right!

I went back to take another street. Passing the Forest cemetery. They are digging there as well. One way street again with a traffic light too.

The last parts were located all around the hospital. I wonder what will happen if there is an accident and the ambulance are in a hurry 😠

That is how you celebrate your birthday. This is just a fraction of what they are doing.

Cattle

This is the largest barn / stall at Klastorp. Taking a closer look at them it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The cattle in these images are kept in those small enclosures. Not free to be in a pasture. There are cattle in both the white and green "shelters".

Julita Mansion, Swedish Agricultural Museum

All three buildings are old barns. The middle one are now Agriculural Museeum. The one to the left is a museum for old tractors. The one to the right I don´t know. Did not go in there.

View from the other two buildings. I think it is a stall for cattle.

The entire farm and everything that belongs to it is a museum. And it belongs to the Nordic Museum - Nordiska Museet in Sweden. And very much alive. The area is large and they have cattle and hoses. They also have a fruit garden, very popular. The Place is too large to visit in one day. But you can stay overnight in the Hostel or even in the Mansion. And eat in the fine restaurant.

This place is about 30 km from where I live.

The hoses at my Photoblog are from one of the Oakpastures

The old barn

This is the old barn I shared a few older images of a couple of weeks ago. I went there to check it out. It is still standing, but barely. It is supported on the back side to  prevent it from falling. But from what I can see now it will not last another winter. Some heavy snow and the roof is gone. Last winter we had almost no snow at all yet some holes are formed in the roof.
I thought last shot would look great as art so it is manipulated.

Sjöholm farm

Mostly dry areas "inside" the reed. All this green should be filled with water.  :(

I went to Sjöholm to see if there would be any migrating Common Snipes. Below the barn is a small waterfilld wetland. Or, should be. Half of it has dried out this summer. Still, there was enough water to host about 15 Snipes, some Greylag goose and Lapwings. But it was the Snipes that interested me. I like those cool birds with the long bills. And I was happy to see them

Roe deer and Common Blackbird

 Roe Deer
The female in teh first image was injured. Her hind leg was useless and she walked on three legs. I did not see any wound so I don´t know what was wrong. She seemed to manage anyway.

Young Common Blackbird, male
This young guy was not in a cage even if it looks like it. We were on either side of a fence.

Barns at Klastorp

These barns belongs to one of the largest Mansions outside my town. They are built in a style mostly used in the southern part of Sweden, Skåne. Mostly called Timber framing.

The first two images is new. What they are used for today, other then to have a party, I don´t know.
From the closeup I can see that one has been used as a stable for horses.

The last image is taken long ago on the other side of the road. So, there are 4 of those barns. Used for different things I believe. The last one seem to be machinery and hay.
