NF Trees n Bushes #1

Welcome to the first edition of the NF Trees n Bushes meme.

I have always liked trees and have lots of them in my files that I never got around to post. I assume that many of you have it too. So, for this meme is not about running around taking shots today. You can as well dig in your files for those gems never posted. Trees and bushes comes in many shapes and forms ant they look different as the year go by. Many of them has flowers and are showing autumn colors. They change always.

I once followed a blog that challenged people to choose one tree and follow it for a year. It was quite fun.But what you want to do is up to you. Just share it with us.

This row of trees stands in the countryside on a farm and they have a small pond with birds. They are larger then the image shows and nice to follow the year round.

This is / was a bridge I often passes. But 2 days ago a tractor was driving over it and was too heavy. This is the result of that. Now, for me, this spoiled 3 of my routes as I have to pass the stream here to go around the lakes. I hope they will rebuild it. In one way or another.

Next week "NF Catching Light" will open again. Mondays as usual but
it will move to NF Bildverkstan/Image workshop.
I realized from comments that some of you actually learned from it so I will change it a bit. I will give explanations and occasionally give you optional themes to work with. That will challenge me a bit too.

I will also start a new meme. A topic I have not seen before. Trees and bushes! That will give some people an excuse to link up their flowering trees and bushes as well. The meme will run for the summer at least. I have tons of trees to post from all over the world.   :)

Hi everybody. You might find this additional post.

I never realized many of you actually learned a little from this meme. It was a pleasure to read about it.
Today as I was sitting 5h on a train going back home I was thinking about it.

Maybe I should change the meme a bit and then continue in a slightly different way.
My idéa, so far, was to move it into Bildverkstan / Image workshop where I have NF DAM.  To work with light is an artform in itself. And I know a few missed the opportunity of an optional theme in NF DAM when I ended that part.
Now, what would you think of  having a Catching light with an optional theme? If I mvoe it to Bildverkstan I can give instructions, tips and trix on how to work with light in a different ways and you still have the opportunity to link whatever light you want?

Tell me what you think and I see what I can do.

BTW, my trip was to Varanger in the northern part of Norway. Cold, birds and snowstorm. :)
You will see much or it here and there in my blogs soon. As soon as I have uploaded them.

Catching light 130 Lights out

Welcome to the last edition of  Catching light meme.

 In 130 posts I did not manage to create a larger community. I wanted at least 25 people for a living meme. If you don´t count those with multiple links as they are not interested in the meme (they never even bother to comment on my work) there is only 10 left after all those weeks. But I failed and don´t know why. Maybe because I don´t have a private life to share, I´m retired and single. And rather healthy so there is not much about private things I can share!  Or maybe because I never have giveaways. I don´t know! I only share the beauty I see around me and that don´t seem to be enough. I sometimes enter in competitions and it is never the images sharing beautiful things that wins. It is the dark side of life that does.

Or, maybe I have too many blogs, making people confused. Somebody once said about me: "you are scattered all over the place". He is probably right.

Many thanks to you who have become my friends.  You know who you are. Thanks for staying with me. You can still link up with NF DAM at Bildverkstan / Image workshop. Remember, great SOOC images can also be considered art if you took great care shooting it. So, welcome to DAM. And I see you in other memes as well.

With that said:
I´ll take a rest from memes for a while but might consider starting a meme about trees later on! I have so many fine trees never posted. Would anyone be interested in such a meme? I also will be gone for a few days starting Thursday so I will not have much time commenting. But Dam will be on. Where I´m going? You will find out in the end of next week.
