Welcome to the first edition of the NF Tree n Bushes meme.
I have always liked trees and have lots of them in my files that I never got around to post. I assume that many of you have it too. So, for this meme is not about running around taking shots today. You can as well dig in your files for those gems never posted. Trees and bushes comes in many shapes and forms and they look different as the year go by. Many of them has flowers and are showing autumn colors. They change always.

In the 1600 century all Oaks belonged to the king. You could even lose your life if you took them down. Most places with oaks are now considered Nature Reserved and they keep track of every single large Oak. Even give them names. But I don´t know if this tree has a name. From the size it might be 300-400 years.

I love the big old oak trees, lovely shot. Thanks for hosting, have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteOaks; a mainstay of our area. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteThe single oak is a common sight in our rural areas. The farmers planted them in their pastures to provide shade for the grazing animals. They are wonderful shade trees. Mine shade my whole yard by middle morning so I can cut my grass without bearing the scorching sun. Trees are such wonderful and important beings ...
