The works of sun and shadow

This was the day before Christmas eve and it had been frost during the night. Then the sun rose and started to melt the frost. But the frost remained in the shadowed areas of the low fence and grass. It looked rather cool. :)

the icy snow still rests by the curbs here even though all elsewhere the snow is gone!
