This is a dam at a water cleaning facility about 25 km from my town. I stood in the tower overlooking the dam. Watching Mallard ducklings and Goldeneye´s. Suddenly I noticed a movment in between the dam and the fence. It was a red fox. It did not seem to mind the birds at all. But stopped for a while and checked the area. I think it had noticed I was there but could not see me. Then it took off.

When it comes to shadows I like the shadow from the running image. With no contact.

Welcome to the first edition of the NF Tree n Bushes meme.

I have always liked trees and have lots of them in my files that I never got around to post. I assume that many of you have it too. So, for this meme is not about running around taking shots today. You can as well dig in your files for those gems never posted. Trees and bushes comes in many shapes and forms ant they look different as the year go by. Many of them has flowers and are showing autumn colors. They change always.

This is a tall chestnut tree. I had to back off quite a distance to get most of it in the picture. It has beautiful flowers. This tree is not the one you eat, but it looks pretty much the same. This one will give you stomach ache. But in the past it was used for medical purposes.

Lily of the valley leaf

I was out one morning a couple of days ago hoping for Lily of the valley flowers. But there was none. Instead I found this. It had been raining and the sun shining sideways on the leaf made it shine.
It is strange, It is almost full summer, very early, but the Lily of the valley refuse to bloom.

The horse was out grazing in open area but when the heavy rain came it quickly moved to cover under the trees. At least a bit less wet.

Having lunch under a blooming tree, a nice moment. And, those woman did check out a bird or two while sitting there. Yea, I was with a couple of woman birders, 47 to be exact, on a birding trip to Tåkern Nature Reserve during the weekend.
