The first flowers of the year. On top snowdrops are coming up. The next is a bush outside our library. Looks like lilac but I don´t think it is that.

Thanks everyone who joined my meme. Not many people joining anymore so it is time to pick the last flower and macro shot. This meme was only intended to last over the first summer but this is week no 125 so I guess it was a long summer. Thanks everyone who have joined in during that period of time. See you elsewhere.

Digging into my files today I found this seedpod from Akleja. Think it could be a gret one for today as it soom will be time to start gardening for those who have gardens. :) .

I´m sad to notice my memes slowly seem to vanish into oblivion. If people don´t come back I´ll have to close them.

Orchids for the New Year?

Happy New Year everyone. Glad to be back with Blo-Ma.
I found these orchids in one of the supermarkets the other day. Is this supposed to be great? What are they doing with flowers like Orchids? The top one is so colorful in a way it seems unnatural but might be a varity. The last ones is painted with gold, silver and black color. Orchids? Treated that way? Hard to believe.

This is a blue, or maybe, a purple, waterlily from my trip to Queensland. They grew in many ponds in the northern part of the country.

Now, I realised next week we will be in the middle of Christmas And then there is NEw Year. . So I decided to let Blo-Ma have christmas too.

Next Blo-Ma will be open January 6th.

I think this one is some kind of lily. It was the first thing I spotted as I opened the curtain one morning in a hotel in Scotland. Raindrops, yes, but the morning sun shares some light.

Growing on a large tree this berry was quite nice to eat. Never tasted it before. It seem to be many uses for this berry. Like candy for instance. It seems to be related to figs too.

Det här är en av mina Hoyor. Som ni ser på förstoringarna har jag något på den. Jag trodde det var ulllöss som gjorde något sockrigt kristallartat på blomman. Men jag ser inga löss. Så var kommer det ifrån? De kommer mestadels på de nya skotten. Rätt fint i förstoring. Men....man vill ju veta vad det är och om det kan förstöra växten.

This is one of my hoyas. As you can see from the enlargements there is something on it. I thought it was some kind of wool lice that made those sugary crystal-like formations. But I don´t see any lice. So, where does it come from and how? It mostly comes on the new growth. Pretty nice as enlarged but I´d like to know what it is and if it can ruin my plant.
